Pari the horror film starring Anushka Sharma which is supposed to release in Pakistan on 2nd March in 2018 has been banned by by the Central Board of Film Censors (Islamabad Censor Board). The horror film was cleared by the Censor Boards in Karachi and Lahore yet the Islamabad people found it objectionable and decided to ban it all over the country. It is really a disappointing news for all those who are waiting for this horror movie.Mobashir Hasan, the Chairman of CBFC in talks with one of local media website said that the film contained objectionable sequences in which Quranic verses were used along with Hindu mantars to capture the evil and that act may be acceptable to people in India but it is certainly not acceptable in Pakistan. So the reason of banning the film is religious.
