People went crazy over Waqar Zaka’s major step to help people in Burma and then Syria. Like every other person, I use to scroll images circulated on Facebook from Burma in misery. The lack of attention on the situation in Burma and Syria for Muslims kept this issue unsung.Back then Waqar Zaka who holds a bad guy image in Pakistan came forward with his live video session from Burma which actually stated the situation. His call for donation provoked many souls to come forward and help the cause. Waqar managed to grab everyone’s attention on this issue and a lot of people showed their interest in helping him. His frequent trips to Syria and Burma proved his dedication towards the cause. Muslims all over the world became his fans, Some POSITIVE fans!
Recently Waqar Zaka received a gold medal from the government of Pakistan. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan an asset of Pakistan presented this Gold medal to Waqar Zaka. The purpose behind the acknowledgment is to create awareness in people about how Pakistanis are actually working on issues which nobody even dares to talk about. Waqar announced about his achievement on his Facebook page and shared this award with his Facebook fans who supported him during the thick and thins of this cause.
No matter if its Waqar Zaka or you! In the end, it’s all about humanity, humility, and integrity.
