The veteran actress Atiqa Odho has been facing a trial for alleged liquor case which was registered back in 2011. She was booked for possessing two bottles of wines at Islamabad Airport. That case had garnered a lot of media attention at that time and a suo motu action was taken from the serving chief justice of that time Iftikhar Chaudhry.During the suo moto proceedings, the authorities had been advised by the then chief justice to register an FIR against Odho for allegedly carrying banned liquor on-board. The actress has to face Supreme Court on the 5th of October 2017, almost after 7 years when the alleged possession case took place.
Atiqa through her Facebook status expressed her feelings and thanked all her supporters. We wish that Justice will be served soon.
