It is already speculated that Mah-e-Mir will be no ordinary movie, and it’s a testament to the marvelous team behind its production. A movie set in contemporary times, both in modern day Karachi and 18th century Delhi. The story twists and turns beautifully ,as Jamal, a contemporary poet in throes of life’s struggles draws parallels with the events in Mir Taqi Mir’s life, his clashes with the royal court, his romance with a courtesan, idealizing the advent of bringing poetry to the ordinary man and his gradual insanity in the full moon.
The concept is beautifully reflected in the dialogues and poetry throughout the movie. Its, however, strange to know that when it comes to this movie, Hero, is not a word we would be associating with a person, or a character even. What is it? An act?
