Well Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar case has taken a new turn. When Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar for physical harrasment, the lawyer of Ali Zafar Rana Intizar, contended before the court that Meesha Shafi defamed his client, pleading the court to direct Shafi to issue an apology to Ali Zafar and with a fine of Rs1 billion for extending baseless allegations against him. Well the lawyer of Meesha Shafi, Mohammad Ali Pansota has denied any knowledge of such orders. Mr Panosta in his tweet wrote that “Meesha Shafi hasn’t received any notice from the court,”he further added “Defamation suit is only possible when the statement made is untrue and our complaint is presently pending adjudication before the competent forum.”
@itsmeeshashafi’s claim of sexual harassment against Ali Zafar is pending adjudication before the competent forum. The defamation case initiated by Ali Zafar, after finding out about Meesha’s claim, is an unsavoury attempt to divert attention from the main issue of harassment.
