Yes our very own Zubaida Appa is no more with us, she silently died last night on 4th of January 2018 after a brief illness at the age of 73. Zubaida Tariq was a icon, a household name popular for her cooking expertise and cooking shows.What made her different was her home remedies and instant solutions of people’s queries. It is said that Zubaida Appa got all the solutions of world’s problems.

She is born into a Intellectual family known from Hyderabad Decan of intellectuals, poets and artists, Zubeida Tariq had nine siblings including Anwar Maqsood, Zehra Nigah and the late Fatima Surraiya Bajiya. Zubaida Appa made her debut on TV in her 50s with Dalda Ka Dastarkhwan, Zubeida Apa worked with numerous channels and also wrote many cookbooks. Her latest show with Masala TV called ‘Handi’ is the most watched cooking show of Pakistan as she covered more than 1000 episodes for it!
Zubaida Appa will always be remembered for her kindness and soft spoken way of talking, it is end of an era. Her sudden death has created a void in industry and this is certainly an irreplaceable loss.
