The well awaited event of the year 16th Lux Style Awards is about to come and the nominations for the 16th Lux Style Awards for the year 2017 have been announced . Well if we take a look on the nominees majority seems like Lux’s award ‘s favourite ones yes the list of nominees is Lux style Awards typical one. Full of the favourites one from acting to modeling and designers the ratio of new emerging talent is quite low. Well it seems that favouritism is the main criteria for selecting the nominees. Yeah the list is nominees seems full of the good old faces who have already won Lux awards some of them several times!
Taking the first look on the list our eyes scroll to the very name of Mahira Khan which seems a mandatory name for Lux Style Awards, she is always a favourite. This time is she is nominated for the movie Ho Mann Jahan and it should not surprise you if she wins. Well Mehwish Hayat is surprisingly too in the list! she know anything else but acting,well I guess she is added in the list simply because there were few number of movies released last year, we had little choice and also that Actor in law did good business. Well Saba Qamar to be honest seems the most deserving nominee well lets see. Whereas Sanam Saeed too is a good actress and Sajal Ali’s name is added I guess as we had to make a list and names should be added in that 😀
Well as far as film nominees are concerned it seems right but Maalik movie is missing in it, despite of controversies that movie was much liked by masses and it was successful in conveying a very strong message. Best Actors nominees list seems good all promising names added from Ashar Azeem to Mohib Mirza and Fahad Mustafa Thank God no Humayun Saeed in the list 😀
When we come to Fashion industry the nominee list it again seem typical and full of favourites particularly the model list Sadaf Kanwal, Amna Babar and Rabia Butt same names. Male models nominee list ! Well it is unbelievable that the list is exactly the same it was last year not single slight change! Well for other areas of fashion nominees have variation but the designers and brand list particularly lawn designer list is very much the same it was last year.
Well for music the nominee list is seems fresh and is full of new emerging talent not having typical names like Atif and Ali Zafar and a separate nominees list for the emerging talent in singing is too introduced. Well that is appreciable !
The nominee list for TV industry is again full of the good old names. The best actress nominees include Maya Ali and won’t get surprise if she wins. Again Mehwish Hayat name is added I wonder among all great talented actress the jury chooses her name to grace their list! Sajal Ali is a well deserve nominee for Gul -e- Rana and Saba Qamar is the best among all!.Best actors list includes Ahsan Khan most deserving, Faisal Qureshi and Humayun Saeed well no wonder if he wins! ( there are fairer chances of him winning as he is among the most favourites) 😀 Noman Ijaz again well deserved nominee and Zahid Khan good too for Besharam. Best plays include Udaari most deserving one and then it got Man Mayal as it was one of the longest serial that dragged the audience for long time. Well Gul-e- Rana is missing in the list as it was much liked by the people and should be included!
Well waiting with fingers crossed who gonna win the awards this time. Will Lux style awards will be awarded to the good old favourites or the emerging and deserving talents will be acknowledged? For that we all have to wait for the awards event 🙂
