Bollywood giant Amitabh Bachan has reportedly turned down the role of a character who happens to be Pakistani in a movie for which he was earlier very enthusiastic for. It seems like Amitabh has taken this decision because of tension going between both the countries after Pulwama Attack. According to Indian media reports, Amitabh Bachchan was offered the role of a Pakistani in Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty directorial’s debut. Deccan Chronicle quoted a source saying, “Resul had been discussing the script for his directorial debut with Bachchan Saab for two years now. He loved the peace message in Resul’s Indo-Pak story. Resul waited for Bachchan Saab’s dates and they were finally supposed to go on the floors, but because of the worsening relations between the two countries, Bachchan Saab had second thoughts.”
