Bilal Maqsood recently took his Instagram account to share his concerns about religious content on YouTube. He writes “Surahs and duas on YouTube should not be monetised,” the Strings musician further wrote, “Imagine listening to Surah-e-Rehman and it is interrupted in the middle by a lawn or a cooking oil ad, it’s highly disrespectful.” Well we cannot agree more to this, being a Muslim it feels so distasteful and disrespectful to get interrupted by advertisements between Quranic Surahs no doubt it is highly disrespectful and Bilal Maqsood has very rightly pointed out a very genuine concern, hoping that content creators and YouTubers who upload religious content on YouTube will keep this point in mind.
