On this Pakistan Day, i.e. 23rd March 2018, dawned is a special day for all those stars who have worked hard over the years, as they get Recognition, in forms of civil awards awarded to our celebrities for their contribution to the society and their respective fields of science, technology, engineering, welfare, literature, arts, sports and media. Shehzad Roy bagged his second Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his humanitarian work as well as Sarfraz Ahmed who became the youngest Pakistani cricketer to be bestowed with the honor. Novelist Mohsin Hamid was also honored with this honor. In a ceremony yesterday, late human rights activist Asma Jahangir who passed away a few weeks back, was awarded Nishan-i-Imtiaz for her services. Late singer and televangelist, Junaid Jasmhed was also awarded with Sitar-I-Imtiaz. Khalid Anam was awarded with the Presidential Pride of performance for his over thirty years of services in the field of music, theatre, drama and for his endless work in promoting children education. Congratulations to all those who were honored.
I will be honored with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz tomorrow in Islamabad. I know of so many unsung heros who may never be publicly recognised but they work everyday to reform our society. I dedicate this award to their selfless dedication.
