This Eid ul Adha three were three mega release JPNA2, Load Wedding and Parwaaz Hai Junoon. Well Load Wedding is getting very limited screening and the director of the flick Nabeel Quereshi is not happy with its distribution. “I was taken aback initially when I saw the shows that were being allocated to us. I mean, we have Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat, two of the biggest stars in cinema, Filmwala has a track record, we did our premiers and the critics loved the film. Then why are we not getting equal number of screen as the two other films? Even those shows were at odd timings. One of the leading cinemas in Karachi, had LW in their Royal show at 10.15 in the morning. I mean how blatant can it be? And this is just one example, we are getting only 15-20% screens. This is not secret. Anyone can look it up. Is that fair?” said the disappointed director.  He further added, “Look, we have seen some poor films with no star names, over the last few years. Even those films are given more of an opportunity. From the outset, we did not get that chance. Please let the audience decide if the film is good enough or not. Our Eid shows, all were running at 80-90% occupancy. It’s just baffling. We are independent film makers, we don’t have big networks backing us. GEO is simply our media partnership. The other two films were produced by HUM TV and ARY Network. On the face of it, that seems like the only reason for punishing us.”
