Pakistani Short Film Rani starring Kami Sid , the film revolves around the life of a  transgender who refuses to indulge in socially unacceptable activities to earn her livelihood.Well the film won an European award as well as numerous accolades in various film festivals all over the world,  Rani is recently got featured on BBC World News too which just is making us all extremely proud and happy. Rani is produced by Rizvilia Productions and Gray Scale, the script of the film has been written and directed by Hammad Rizvi, who also won the NBC Universal Short Film Award in Los Angeles recently for best outstanding writer. The producer of the filmAkbar Allana spoke to BBC  he said,”One of the primary functions of art is to challenge the way we think particularly in cinema all over the world as it shows you stories which perhaps are there in front of you everyday, but you don’t pay attention to it and I think it is very important to find those stories and bring forth in front of a audience which is receptive to those stories”.
