In light of recent events and complaints regarding the content being aired, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has issued a notice to all TV channels, with directives from the Islamabad High Court regarding the monitoring of their morning shows content. The notification has come as a result of so many complaints which were lodged by the public in regard to Sahir Lodhi’s morning show, where he recently was having dance competetion of children, making them performing on item numbers in a segment which seems quite inappropriate and indecent.
PEMRA issues directives to TV channels in pursuance to the Orders of Islamabad High Court to comply with Code of Conduct in its Morning shows and other programmes. Channels are also directed to ensure allocation of 10% airtime for public service messages. pic.twitter.com/XBJjSEWsJu

Furthermore, PEMRA also directed all channels to allot 10% of their air time to public service messages as well. Failure to comply with the directives issued will lead to prosecution under Pemra laws, according to the notification. Thank God someone has taken notice for that vulgar practice going in Sahir Lodhi ‘s Morning show.
