Pakistan Pop music princess and Beauty Queen Nazia Hassan was born on 3rd of April 1965 in Karachi and today it marks her 52nd birth anniversary. She made her first appearance on a PTV show ‘Kaliyon ki Mala’ she was the one who introduced western style in Pakistani music.
She got breakthrough from her song “ Aap jaisa koi meri zindagi mai aaee” Her first album “ Disco Dewanay” was huge hit and was released in 1982 her brother Zohaib Hassan accompanied her in singing and he sung many duet songs. She was the first Pakistani singer who won the Filmfare award and is the youngest singer in best female playback singing category. She died at the age of 35 in London hospital on 13 August 2000 after fighting from lung cancer. She still lives in our hearts through her soulful songs.
