Pakistani cinema going to release three films on Pakistan Day Weekend, Captain Marvel, the major anticipated Hollywood release was a no-show courtesy financial issues with its distributor. Three films are releasing and all the three films belongs to three different genres. The first film, which is expected to lead the weekend is ARY Films’ Sherdil. The film is directed by Azfar Jafri seems a perfect flick as it is a patriotic film and will suit best for the occassion and current LOC tension between both the countries. The second film to release is Kamaal Khan’s Laal Kabootar, distributed by Footprint. The is an intense thriller, with plenty of action and a romantic track. The content suggests that it is an adult film.The third movie to hit the screens will be ‘Us’, a horror fare from Hollywood. By the same director as 2017’s surprise hit Get Out, the movie belongs to the genre of psychological horror genre.
