US leading newspaper, the Christian Monitor cited the premier’s leadership in abating the recent tensions between India and Pakistan for placing his name on the list and nominates Prime Minister Imran Khan on its starting list of global leaders to win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. The publication said, “Perhaps the biggest surprise in peaceful leadership – and most critical to the world – is Imran Khan,” It further added, “After a February 14 attack that killed at least 40 Indian soldiers in occupied Kashmir, India launched its first airstrike inside Pakistan since a 1971 war. The two nuclear-capable states were primed for all-out conflict.”
