Well the film facing Ban issue in Pakistan, it awaits for its faith as an appeal is filed, meanwhile Verna cleared and passed uncut by the British Board of Film Classification and it will going to release across UK on the initial date 17th November. Verna was banned by CBFC Islamabad . Soon after the ban, filmmaker Shoaib Mansoor filed an appeal immediately with the censor board for urgent relief for his film Verna.
Denying the popular belief that Verna was banned as it showed the negative image of government, Information Minister, Mariyum Aurangzeb, in a recent interview with BBC Urdu, said that the film would be allowed to release in Pakistan after a full board review. She further revealed that the process of a full board review had been sped up for Verna. Usually the review takes about days to present its verdict but for Verna in two days after which the film will finally be able to release in the country.
