Veteran actress Madiha Gohar passed today in Lahore after fighting from cancer. Madiha Gohar is the founder and director of the famous Ajoka Theatre, she has acted in many PTV dramas too she is sister of actress and activist Faryal Gohar.Madiha is 61 years old and has left behind husband Shahid Nadeem who is a veteran writer and director and her two sons, Nirvaan and Sarang.Madiha Gauhar was also the first Pakistani ever to receive the prestigious Prince Claus Award and shew was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize from Pakistan in the year 2005. Her famous plays from Ajoka Theater were Toba Tek Singh, Aik Thi Nani, Bulha, Letters to Uncle Sam, Mera Rang de Basanti Chola and many other which adressed various social issues.
