Priyanka Chopra is a huge name not only in Bollywood but in Hollywood as well. So, when news of her producing a Bhojpuri Film came out, people from the industry were very curious about it. However, it turns out that this lady has certainly ruffled a few feathers with her film. Recently released, the actors from the Bhojpuri industry have spoken out against the film for being vulgar and obscene in its content and for defaming the Bhojpuri industry. Director Nitin N Chandraa, who is the winner of the prestigious National Award for his Maithili film Mithila Makhan this year, told India Today: “At a time when my mother tongue Bhojpuri is fighting for its existence, Priyanka has not only defamed herself but also besmirched her Padma Shri award by producing a movie like this.”
Kunal Dutt, who runs a campaign to save the historic Dutch-made Patna Collectorate from demolition proposed by the Nitish Kumar government even called it an “attempt to rake in moolah from dumb and gullible audience looking for sex and cheap thrills”.
